'Beyond this Life' marks the arrival of hot new artist Rica Evelon to the Hip-Hop and R&B scene. Packing sensual jamz and sentimental lyricism, Rica Evelon grabs attention right away. The album is dedicated to her
mother, who sadly passed away in April 2020. Evelon recalls singing to her mother during her time in hospice in her home, and when she died, the singer knew it was time for her to finally pursue her love of music. This six track project delves into the depths of Rica Evelon, who shares about her past relationships, personal struggles and relays advice from her beloved mother. 'Beyond this Life' kicks off with an enticing Mariah Carey-esque song called 'Feels So Good'. This track takes us straight back to the old school era of R&B, as Rica Evelon delivers her strong vocal performances and touches on the indescribable feeling of mutual love. Other tracks that stand out are 'I Apologize' featuring retro 80s synths and 90s flows from independent artist Reginae, as well as
'On Your Own' a track that highlights the singer's independent approach instilled by her mother. The incorporation of Trap beats and funky guitar riffs can also be heard in tracks like 'To the Money', adding even
more flavour to the project. Overall, 'Beyond this Life' showcases Rica Evelon as a budding artist on the rise, we can hardly wait to see where she goes next.

Having just kicked her career in music, Rica Evelon already boasts star quality. As well as a recording artist, Rica is a mom and entrepreneur with her own store called 'Evelon Online'. Her biggest influence in her life is her father Evelon, who not only introduced her to Old School R&B and Hip Hop, but also inspired her stage name and brand. Her mother was her best friend, and when she passed away, the singer took to writing songs as her therapy. Her introduction to the scene is impressive, and 'Beyond This Life' is the perfect first look into Rica Evelon as she enters the industry. The singer plans to gain some well-deserved traction from the album, and there's no doubt her talents will win many over, you won't want to miss her.
